Espelkamp, 24 June 2008 --- Effective as of 1 July 2008, Mr. Sven Holtgrewe and Mr. Hartmut Schwettmann, both staff members of the HARTING Technology Group for many years, will join the management of HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG in the heavy-duty connector division. The two have been members of the management team of HARTING Electric for years and are responsible for the company’s consistent and successful market positioning. The appointment of Messrs. Holtgrewe and Schwettmann to
the Management Board highlights the importance and success of the in-house junior staff training programme of the HARTING Technology Group.
Mr. Sven Holtgrewe, Dipl.-Ing., joined the HARTING technology company in 1991 and held various positions in the heavy-duty connector division. Since 1996, Mr. Holtgrewe has been chiefly responsible for developing strategic markets and maintaining relations with joint-venture partners and the international subsidiaries. Mr. Holtgrewe will become General Manager Marketing / Distribution within HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG.
Mr. Hartmut Schwettmann, Dipl.-Ing., started his career as a trainee with the HARTING Technology Group in 1984, and after graduating successfully from the traineeship programme, he held a number of positions in the Product Management and Product Marketing division. His main focus has been the further development and marketing of the heavy-duty connector product range. Mr. Schwettmann has been appointed General Manager of Development / Product Marketing.
Through HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG, HARTING develops, manufactures and distributes industry connectors, connectivity and system components for use in mechanical engineering, automation and transportation technology and in the energy sector. The company is part of the Management Board division “Connectivity & Networks” headed by Philip Harting.
